Baptism is a topic that is on the minds of many parents in our congregation. Some of our children have already made professions of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and are ready to share that decision with the world. Others are asking questions about the Gospel and at various levels of interest in the Christian faith.
To make sure that we fully prepare our children for the important step of following in obedience to Christ’s command to be baptized, Metanoia will host a Baptism Class for Purple Team-aged children (3rd-5th grade) and their parents after the Sunday, June 4 and July 9 Worship Gatherings.
Children will learn what baptism is, what it isn’t, and the reasons why a person would follow Jesus’ command to be baptized. Our hope is that this would help guide our children and their parents into deciding whether they are ready to follow Jesus into the baptism waters.
The class will be taught twice (same content both times) so that you can attend the class that best fits your schedule. Both classes are following the Worship Gathering at Roger Carter Community Center.
- Sunday, June 4, 12:00PM – 12:45PM
