Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.— Matthew 19:14
Christ placed a high priority on children. We can certainly do nothing greater than follow the example of our Savior. With that in mind, we are committed to nurturing and equipping your children as they wiggle (infants), hike (preschoolers), and explore (elementary) their way towards Jesus Christ in Metanoia’s kids C.A.M.P. (Christ Adventures Moving People).
Children aged 3 months-2nd grade are served by Metanoia partners and volunteers who go through an application and background check process. See below for the volunteer process. The goal of our volunteers is to provide a safe, loving environment for children to encounter Christ while parents can worship during the Sunday morning Worship Gathering. Find out more about our Worship Gathering here.
Older children, our Purple Team, (3rd grade+) who can comprehend the songs and sermons are encouraged to participate in the worship gathering with their parents. We believe it is important that children see their parents engage with the church community in song, prayer, and hearing the sermon.
Sunday mornings, coinciding with our Worship Gathering.
Metanoia Kids C.A.M.P. does have the following illness policy that we ask you to adhere to for the health of all our children.
Please do not bring your child if he or she has experienced any of the following within the last 24 hours:
- Vomiting or diarrhea (48 hour symptom-free)
- Cold with green/yellow nasal discharge
- Hacking or persistent cough
The current medication policy of Kids C.A.M.P. can be found here.
We want your children to learn about Jesus Christ in a safe environment. For that reason our volunteers must go through the following application process:
- Partnership Class
- Background Check
- Training Session
