The Gospel of Mark is typically thought of as the earliest written Gospel in our Bible. Several ancient texts state that the Apostle Peter recounted the events of Jesus’ life and ministry to John Mark (“Mark”), who wrote them down. This Gospel now bears Mark’s name.
The Gospel begins with these words: “The beginning of the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” (Mark 1:1). Mark moves at a fast clip and reads like a short story. Join us as we journey through the Gospel of Mark and discover the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God!
