Shortly after the riots in downtown Baltimore this past April, Metanoia collected a special offering to support The Garden Community, a church in our network that we financially helped start a few years ago. The Garden is located in Bolton Hill, a neighborhood directly impacted by the riots.
The Garden is using the resources that Metanoia and other churches raised to fund a Peace and Reconciliation Block Party in Bolton Hill on Saturday, August 22 (4PM-8PM).
About the Block Party
Baltimore City police will be grilling food for the event and also connecting with people living in the neighborhood as a way of rebuilding trust between police and citizens. Metanoia will provide volunteers to help facilitate the police, the citizens, and the Garden church members to rebuild relationships.
